Militares brasileiros integram maior exercício internacional de missões de paz na Suécia

Um estado-maior conjunto e combinado formado por oficiais da Índia, Austrália, Bangladesh, Suécia, Alemanha, Suíça, e oficiais do Exército Brasileiro, da Marinha do Brasil e da Força Aérea Brasileira participam, até o dia 7 de abril, do Exercício Viking 22 na Suécia.

Representam o Brasil o General de Brigada, Julio César Palú Baltieri, na função de Force Commander (FC); o General de Brigada Marco Antonio Machado, na função de Deputy Force Commander (DFC); dois coronéis do Exército Brasileiro, compondo as células de inteligência e operações; um coronel da Força Aérea Brasileira, compondo a célula de operações; e um capitão de fragata da Marinha do Brasil, compondo a célula de inteligência. Nesse país, o exercício ocorre no nível estratégico-operacional, onde no principal objetivo é a integração dos componentes militar e policial com o componente civil, formado por integrantes da ONU e suas agências. Além da ONU, a OTAN e a UE também participam do exercício.

A integração com os militares que estão compondo o site remoto no Brasil, no Comando Militar do Planalto (CMP), ocorre por meio de videoconferências entre o FC e os comandantes de setor na área de operações do exercício, sob a responsabilidade do Qatar (Setor 1) e Brasil (Setor 2), bem como por intermédio de incentivos enviados pela Direção do Exercício (DIREX), onde Problemas Militares Simulados (PMS) são repassados para serem solucionados nos níveis, estratégico, operacional e tático.

Brazilian Army personnel take part in the largest international PKO exercise

A joint and combined general staff composed of officers from India, Australia, Bangladesh, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland and also from the Brazilian Army, the Brazilian Navy and the Brazilian Air Force participate, through April 7th, in Exercise Viking 22 in Sweden.

Brazil is represented by Major General Julio César Palú Baltieri, in the role of Force Commander (FC); Major General Marco Antonio Machado, in the role of Deputy Force Commander (DFC); two Brazilian Army colonels, in the intelligence and operations cells; a colonel from the Brazilian Air Force in the operations cell; and a commander from the Brazilian Navy, in the intelligence cell. In Sweden, the exercise takes place at the strategic-operational level, in which the main objective is the integration of the military/police components and the civilian component, formed by members of the UN and its agencies. In addition to the UN, NATO and the EU also participate in the exercise.

Integration with the military personnel composing the remote site in Brazil, in the Planalto Military Command, takes place through videoconferences between the FC and the sector commanders in the exercise area of operations, under the responsibility of Qatar (Sector 1) and Brazil (Sector 2), as well as through incentives sent by the Exercise Directorate (DIREX), from where Simulated Military Problems (PMS) are passed on to be solved at the strategic, operational and tactical levels.
